What does invoice right get paid right REALLY mean?

Rubber Stamp indicating payment. Includes clipping path for stamp.

Let me illustrate with an actual example.

Per normal the MHM client’s identity won’t be divulged nor will the actual surgical episode he performed. But the values are REAL as is the timescale

My client saw a patient in theatre on November 29th. Precisely 7 days ago. It was invoiced the following day. The patient’s details were right (including the policy number), the CCSD code was right and value charged [£895] was right too.

There were ZERO mistakes on the invoice. It was delivered to the insurance company concerned electronically on November 29th.

He saw a completely different patient in clinic as an outpatient on Friday afternoon [Dec 2nd] as a follow up. That too was invoiced electronically to the insurance company. Once again ALL the details were absolutely right. £150 worth this time.

    Total invoiced £1,045

I’ve had an email this afternoon from the insurance company concerned confirming payment has been made for the full amount straight into the client’s bank account.

That is what invoice right = get paid right REALLY means!

It doesn’t happen to all the invoices of course and it requires a consistent application of MHM’s “invoice right = get paid right” philosophy.

But it does confirm if you do the job right, put the time and effort into getting everything you need you CAN get paid quickly!

Want to know how you CAN get paid quickly too?
